The Photography of Diane M. Conn

“I always want to be in the world. No matter where I am in the world or in my life, photographs of people and objects allow me to observe and feel connected. The bicycle that someone left unchained in front of the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park. The elderly women who hold hands as they support each other on their canes—sharing the weight, sharing the journey. The backs of the young boys up in a tree, or the three women staring into the canyon. It’s not just the act of taking the pictures that heals me. Looking at the pictures brings me more deeply into everything that is life. Seeing is connection.”
